Silicon Valley Blogger presents Cheap Web Hosting Services For Those On A Budget posted at The Digerati Life, saying, “Thanks!”
“What Web Hosting Service Do I Use?
So you’re looking to get your online business off the ground. Maybe you’re ready to embark on your goal to make money blogging. Well one of the first things you’ll need to do is to determine where to host your website or blog. When I first started my internet projects, I had the novel idea of self-hosting my sites to cut down on costs. But I eventually outgrew this set up and found myself frustrated by the amount of downtime I had to face by running my own server.
So that’s when I decided to move on to using a web hosting service. But it wasn’t all rosy when I first outsourced the hosting task: I’ll be honest — I started out with the popular provider DreamHost, which came highly recommended by a lot of my online friends and business colleagues. Unfortunately, DreamHost proved to be almost as unreliable as my own server and on top of this, they were very difficult to reach. I found their customer service to be one of their weak points, and not surprisingly, it was not long before I had to bid them adieu.”
The Smarter Wallet presents Did You Lose Your Job? Start Your Own Online Business posted at The Smarter Wallet.
I quite liked this story of a guy who lost his job in November of last year. This fellow named Carlos Gil, a 25 year old regional sales manager for an AIG subsidiary found himself unemployed as a casualty of the financial meltdown of recent months. So he goes searching for a job online like so many others who have been laid off or who have decided to return to work due to economic hardships. In so doing, he determined that there was a lot of demand for job search sites, and has thus decided to fill this need and launch an online business called JobsDirectUSA. It has 10,000 members and charges $12.49 a month for employers to post their job positions.

BankShout presents How To Ladder CDs posted at BankShout.

Many people think of certificates of deposit as being long-term and without a whole lot of flexibility. Both of these ideas are actually false; CD terms are available for as short as 7-30 days, and with some creativity, you can add flexibility to your CD portfolio through something called laddering.

What every business owner and self-employed professional should be getting from their most trusted business adviser.”
One of the biggest mistakes new business owners make is not taking full advantage of what should be one of their most trusted advisers, their accountant. When most people think “accountant” the first thing that comes to their minds is “taxes”, then they think maybe payroll, auditing, and that funny Joe Pesci character from Lethal Weapon II. If you intend to make a go of this entrepreneurship thing than really get to know and develop a relationship with your accountant, don’t just think of them once a year when you drop off the shoebox full of receipts for your tax return.
